Day 8 - How Much Does He Love You? - Daily Inspirational Verses from Real Life

Used by Permission:  www.GoodJobNotes.com
Galatians 2:20 - (NIV1984)
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Sometimes I wonder how Peter could deny Jesus at all, much less three times.  I often ask myself how much easier faith would be if we lived in the time of Jesus, and saw him and his signs and wonders.

If Peter only knew how much He was loved by Jesus, he never would have betrayed him, I say to myself.

It's not true though.  We have much more the Peter had, even though he had the living Jesus.  We have the entire story, and we know exactly how much Jesus loved us.  We know he died for us and we know of his Resurrection.  We know it all because we have the bible and 2000 years of witness.  Peter had none of that.

We know without any doubt that our sins have been washed clean, removed, and all the guilt that goes with knowing your are a sinner is also gone.  Clean.  Live with God Forever.  We know that.

Yet, there is even more good news.  We have been crucified with Christ.  The Price has been paid forever and for all sin in us.  With the Crucifixion comes the Resurrection, if it is with Christ. We get the Resurrection too. Just to make sure we get it, we are told that Jesus LIVES IN US ...  wow.

How would you behave if You know how much Jesus Loved You?

Day 7 - The Truth is Not Relitive - Daily Inspirational Verses from Real Life

Used by Permission: www.GoodJobNotes.com

John 6:47 - (NIV1984):
"I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life."

For many people, truth is a matter of perspective.  In fact, it is almost an article of western culture now, that there is no truth, just opinions about life.

Imagine for a moment if the rules of physics changed, based on your perception.  You are standing on a sidewalk, watching a car go by, and the sidewalk just starts floating up into the air and twisting around like a snake.  How would you feel?  Would your faith in reality remain solid?  Would you lose your grip?

Imagine for a moment that every civil law that you have counted on was countered by someone else's perception.  For example, you are at an intersection in your car, and watch someone run across the street, punch someone in the face, and then pull a gun out and shoot into the crowd.  You see a young man fall unaturally, so you tell the police.  They tell you that he just fainted, but you saw him fall, and you saw people run from where he fell.  You hear on the news that night that he just fainted, but you saw it happen.  You begin to question your "perception" of what you saw.  The next week you hear that the young man was shoot, and in fact died, but the police did not want that information to be known. (This actually happened to me - to read the article click here.)  How would you feel?  How secure would your grip on reality be?

The Good News is, that the Truth is the Truth, and it never changes.  It is not a matter of perception, it simply is.

If you believe in Jesus, that he was the son of God, that he died for your sins, and that he rose from the dead; if you believe that, you will live for ever.  Period.
